The name KAPA is an acronym representing his family: Koob, Albert, Patricia, and Adeline.

Manufactured in nearby Hyattsville, Maryland, KAPA Guitars capitalized on the guitar boom, producing up to 500 guitars a week at peak times. These guitars included both solid-body and hollow-body electric models. They were part of America’s love affair with the electric guitar, influenced by the British Invasion and the broader cultural shifts of the 60s.

While renowned for their unique designs, KAPA Guitars had varying production quality. Many required adjustments to play properly. Despite these issues, the factory thrived, largely due to Veneman's dedication and familial approach. Employees were treated as part of the extended Veneman family, fostering loyalty and a sense of community.

The legacy of KAPA Guitars extends beyond their years of production, which lasted until the early 1970s.
